Outtakes from our "Christmas Card Photo Shoot"

Since last years Christmas card pictures were taken outside and our yard isn't looking photo ready right now, we decided to take the pictures inside this year. As I've mentioned before, I keep it really simple! I don't use a professional... I take the pictures on my phone and edit them myself. This year I used the aviary app. Oh and a last minute decision had me going with a card that I didn't even have my eye on! I just had to go with my gut. I can't wait to share them next week {after I get them sent out to family and friends}! In the meantime here are some funny outtakes to take a look at!

PS. If any of you are going with tinyprints for your Christmas cards, I have two 30% off + free shipping coupon codes to give out. Just leave a comment below and I'll get it to you!

How to Add a Little "Bling" to an Ordinary Chandelier

This is the chandelier in my dining room, that came with my house:

Borrrrrring if you ask me! I've been searching for an affordable crystal chandelier for a while now but have had no luck. This plain jane one is just not my style... at all.

So I did a quick Amazon search and found these teardrop chandelier crystals. A pack of 10 was $6.88 with free shipping!

Once the crystals arrived, I didn't know exactly how I would get them to hang from the chandelier. So I had to get creative! Using fishing line from my husbands fishing pole in the basement, I carefully tied each crystal to the chandelier. And voila! I think it looks pretty darn good for $6.88!
