My Brothers Graduation

Yesterday my brother and cousin graduated from C. Milton Wright High School. I am so happy and proud of them. They both have bright futures ahead of them!

Please disregard my terrible iPhone photos- My brother, James is the tall one in the middle of the picture. My cousin, Dan is the graduate on the right who looks like he is about to walk out of the picture. So amazing that out of 400 graduates and the way the last names were split down the middle , James (Ball) and Dan (Marzullo) ended up walking out only a few graduates apart!

James receiving his high school diploma.

Dan walking across to receive his high school diploma.

The Principle agreed to allow the students to have beach balls (to symbolize them going to the beach for Senior Week) as long as they waited until the end. The Principle kicked it off by throwing her own beach ball out into the crowd. It was such a fun moment!

James with our grandparents. Sun was in their eyes!

Memorial Day Weekend Recap

On Saturday Jon and I (along with some friends) went out to the lake. It isn't very often that we are off work during the day together so when we are, we like to spend our time at "our spot". It is pretty private and we love to bring the dogs for some swimming.

We had dinner with my best friend and her fiance at Chili's (by the way, did ya'll know they changed their fajitas? NOT GOOD) and then we saw Neighbors. Such a funny movie!

On Sunday Jon worked a double so me and the boys decided to be lazy all day since we were exhausted from our day at the lake on Saturday!

On Monday we attended the annual Baltimore Bully Crew Memorial Day Party. We adopted our dog, Corrado from them a few years ago and love getting to see everyone in this amazing rescue group each year :)

Five on Friday

1. How cute is my new fleur de lis electric candle from Pink Zebra? I have little pops of fleur de lis designs all over my first floor from the tie backs on the curtains in my living room to the clock hanging on my wall. I just think the fleur de lis is such an elegant look! So I chose to add this candle to my kitchen and I love, love, love it.

I'm also loving the cathedral lantern, coral reef shade, wise old owl ceramic shade, green fern canister ceramic shade, and soaps/lotions with caddy.  Check out Pink Zebra- they have lots of products to choose from and their "sprinkles" can be used both in Pink Zebra products as well as your existing warmers like scentsy!!! (The sprinkles are much more affordable, last longer, and are stronger then scentsy wax) AND if you're interested in becoming a consultant, for a limited time you can get the starter kit for FREE. Contact Karen Ball for details.

2. Let the countdown officially begin. 100 DAYS UNTIL MY WEDDING :) Our Wedding Website

3. I heard about Relay Foods on the radio about a week or 2 ago when they were offering their Bounty box full of local produce for just $1 (a $40 value- I used code 8383). I figured with that kind of an offer I had to try it! Relay Foods is a website where you can order farm fresh, local groceries at low prices. You then pick it up at various locations for FREE. Or (depending on where you are located) they will deliver right to your home for a very low fee. If you are interested in trying this service out, just follow this link for $30 OFF your order of $50 or more... so you can get $50 worth of farm fresh, local groceries for ONLY $20!!!

Jon loves to eat chicken wings so for my trial order I got the Bounty box, 2 pounds of chicken wings (free range, veggie fed, no hormones or antibiotics), and 1 chicken breast (free range, veggie fed, no hormones or antibiotics) for only $12

4. If you follow me on Facebook you may have seen the photos I posted from our engagement session. I am in love with this photo and of course many more!

5. For a limited time on Rue La La, the pet shop by Harry Barker and more is on sale! You don't want to miss out on this for your furbabies... everything is super cute. Need an invitation to join this designer discount site? Here ya go!!!

DIY Flower Monogram

If you follow me on Pinterest you may have seen the two posts that I pinned about monograms made out of flowers. I combined both for inspiration and made my own. You can find those pins here and here!

What you'll need:
1. Cardboard (I just used old cardboard from work)
2. Flowers (I got mine from the dollar store)
3. Scissors
4. Glue/adhesive/tape (I got adhesive from the dollar store and used scotch tape as well)
5. Large letters to trace

What to do:
1. First I printed out large letters for my monogram. I used a Pottery Barn font that will match my bedding but you can use any font that you'd like. Cursive is always very pretty!

2. Then I traced those letters onto my cardboard and cut them out.

3. All that's left is to glue and tape your leaves and flowers onto the letters and hang them! I have mine in my bedroom and will show you exactly how it looks when I do an updated bedroom tour a few months from now (still waiting on new bedding and a few other things).
